Resumo: This thesis starts from the hypothesis that, for the construction of a democratic society, it is necessary a political project in which public policies are carried out in an integrated manner, especially culture and education. In this perspective, it is understood that Art is a fundamental part of this construction, and theater, as it stimulates sensitivity, playfulness, curiosity and enchantment, constitutes a fundamental element, both for the training of educators and for school and social everyday life. Therefore, this research analyzed how the education of children, young people and educators, through the theater, can contribute to a social transformation. Grounded in Paulo Freire, Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Elliot Eisner and Augusto Boal’s thinking, the research involved a qualitative study that was based on a literature review, document analysis, semi-structured interviews and observation of training and practice contexts. To answer the question: What contributions can the theater offer for a humanizing education with a view to social transformation?, an Art program, which relied on the theatrical language in the city of Bologna, Italy, was analyzed. The project involved public management, theater and day care centers and made theatrical Art a fundamental part of the social and educational life of the community. It was sought to understand how this context contributed to a citizen education based on the categories: dialogue, participation, criticality and creativity, concepts present in Paulo Freire’s Pedagogy. The results obtained demonstrated that the contribution of the theater in the educators’ training had great impact, both in the educational practices and in the dynamics of planning, reflection and education. Theater was integrated into public policies and incorporated into social actions. It was evident that Art, through theater, in the educational training, in schools, in pedagogical and artistic practices and in the social interaction, stimulated dialogue as a fundamental element for human relations. Creativity, as a way of daring in practices, social participation, for permanent performance in the community, and the criticality, in order to rediscover the world and its movements, contributing to the transformation of the reality of that community. This thesis demonstrates the need for Art as a fundamental and indispensable human heritage for the construction of a citizen education, committed to a culturally democratic society and resistant to the process of people’s objectification

This thesis demonstrates the need for Art as a fundamental and indispensable human heritage for the construction of a citizen education, committed to a culturally democratic society and resistant to the process of people’s objectificationEsta tese parte da hipótese de que, para a construção de uma sociedade democrática, é necessário um projeto político em que as políticas públicas sejam realizadas de maneira integrada, em especial, a cultura e a educação. Nessa perspectiva, entende-se que a Arte é parte fundamental dessa construção, e o teatro, por estimular a sensibilidade, o lúdico, a curiosidade e o encantamento, constitui-se elemento fundamental, tanto para a formação de educadores quanto para o cotidiano escolar e social. Assim sendo, esta pesquisa analisou como a formação de crianças, jovens e educadores, por meio do teatro, pode contribuir para uma transformação social. Fundamentada no pensamento de Paulo Freire, Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Elliot Eisner e Augusto Boal, a pesquisa envolveu um estudo qualitativo que se baseou na revisão da literatura, na análise de documentos, na realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas e na observação de contextos de formação e de práticas. Para responder à questão: Que contribuições o teatro pode oferecer para uma formação humanizadora com vistas à transformação social?, foi analisado um programa de Arte, que partia da linguagem teatral na cidade de Bolonha, Itália. O projeto envolveu a gestão pública, teatro e creches e fez da Arte teatral parte fundamental da vida social e educativa da comunidade. Buscou-se compreender como esse contexto contribuiu para uma educação cidadã com base nas categorias: diálogo, participação, criticidade e criatividade, conceitos presentes na Pedagogia de Paulo Freire. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram que a contribuição do teatro na formação dos educadores e das educadoras teve grande impacto, tanto nas práticas educativas quanto na dinâmica de planejamento, de reflexão e de formação. O teatro foi integrado às políticas públicas e incorporado nas ações sociais. Ficou evidente que a Arte, por meio do teatro, nas formações educativas, nas escolas, nas práticas pedagógicas e artísticas e no convívio social estimulou o diálogo como elemento primordial para as relações humanas, a criatividade, como forma de ousar nas práticas, a participação social, para atuação permanente na comunidade, e a criticidade, para redescobrir o mundo e seus movimentos, contribuindo para a transformação da realidade daquela comunidade. Esta tese demonstra a necessidade da Arte como patrimônio humano fundamental e indispensável para a construção de uma educação cidadã, comprometida com uma sociedade culturalmente democrática e resistente ao processo de coisificação das pessoasConselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPqapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/52049/Camila%20Gomes%20Arellaro%20Caetano.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Educação: CurrículoPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de EducaçãoArte na educaçãoTeatro na educaçãoEducação - Aspectos sociaisArt in educationDrama in educationEducation - Social aspectsCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAO::CURRICULOHumanização e arte: o teatro em uma formação cidadãHumanization and art: the theater in a citizen educationinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTCamila Gomes Arellaro Caetano.pdf.txtCamila Gomes Arellaro Caetano.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain301841https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/23127/4/Camila%20Gomes%20Arellaro%20Caetano.pdf.txt4b168ee0a960f6ca62f91403d14776a0MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
