Revisão bibliográfica de pesquisas aplicadas do Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis (JABA) sobre intervenções do analista do comportamento no ambiente carcerário

Resumo: The following paper develops a bibliographic review of articles that involve the work of applied behavior analyst in the prison environment. For that, it was used a historical contextualization of USA prisons. In order to implement this research, the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis (JABA) was utilized. The access to all articles available on it happened through the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)’s research tool, which allows the entrance in different databases, selecting, in this case, on the Central PubMed (PMC), that makes obtaining the information on Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) possible. The articles were selected and categorized to be analyzed later. Between 1968 and 2011, 23 articles about applied interventions of the behavior analyst in the prison environment or bibliographical and documentary reviews were found. Most of them deals with young delinquents (15), followed by adults (4) and sex offenders (3). The most common procedure was the token economy (9), followed by Achievement -Place (5) and sexual arousal measurement (3). The types of control used in the articles were positive reinforcement (11), positive reinforcement and punishment (6) and negative punishment (1). In the end of the research, the topics discussed are the role of the behavior analyst in the prison environment, which interventions and researches show paths to follow in this field, in addition to proposing a return to the behavior analyst on the defined theme

Para tanto, foi utilizado uma contextualização histórica dos presídios estado-unidenses. No intuito de implementar essa pesquisa, foi utilizado o periódico Journal Of Applied Behavior Analysis (JABA). O acesso a todos os artigos disponíveis no mesmo ocorreu por meio da ferramenta de pesquisa do site The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), que possibilita a entrada em diferentes bancos de dados, selecionando, assim, o PubMed Central (PMC), que permite a obtenção dos dados da Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE). Os artigos foram selecionados e categorizados para que fossem analisados posteriormente. Entre 1968 e 2011, foram encontrados 23 artigos sobre intervenções aplicadas do analista do comportamento no ambiente carcerário ou revisões bibliográficas e documentais. Destes, a maioria lida com o perfil do delinquente juvenil (15), seguido de adultos (4) e agressores sexuais (3). O procedimento mais utilizado foi o de economia de fichas (9), seguido de Achievement-Place (5) e avaliação de excitação (3). Os tipos de controle utilizados nos artigos foram reforçamento positivo (11), reforçamento positivo e punição (6) e punição negativa (1).
