Resumo: | This research is about the mental health practices in institutional care services for children and adolescents. More specifically, it questions the medicalization of childhood as a form of control in the lives of children and adolescents. The research took place in a care center in São Paulo that has medicalization resistance history of the patients. We attempted to understand through conversation circles and narrative interviews, the clashing process that occurred in the 2000s and how they have sustained a political commitment in the service. To achieve this we talked to professionals of the service and from the network in the past and now; and adolescents and young adults welcomed in the past and today. Under the contributions of Social Studies for Children, Institutional Analysis, Michel Foucault and Oral History, we attempted to discuss how the mental health demands produced in residential care services have been configured. The first chapter discusses legislation related to childhood and welfare policies that guided the institutional care services for children and adolescents. In the second chapter, we discussed the construction of psychiatry‘s place in contemporary society and how this context reflected in the practices and studies in the field of childhood and adolescence, mainly in residential care. It also contextualizes the field of public policies for childhood in institutional care and its protection measure in the city of São Paulo, specifically through state prosecutors‘ procedures. Finally, two narrative essays were developed: 1) on the methodological strategies of a team and how they have established a process of childhood medicalization resistance in the 2000s and 2) the resistance process of João, a institutionalized child from his first year of life and pathologized in all its manifestations and reactions. We believe that this work can contribute to methodological clues of a way of doing things that resists the adult-centered, medical-psychiatric and tutelary discourses that can easily disregard the multiple childhoods and their singular manifestations |

We believe that this work can contribute to methodological clues of a way of doing things that resists the adult-centered, medical-psychiatric and tutelary discourses that can easily disregard the multiple childhoods and their singular manifestationsA presente pesquisa é sobre as práticas de saúde mental em serviços de acolhimento institucional para crianças e adolescentes. Mais especificamente, questiona-se a medicalização da infância como forma de governo da vida de crianças e adolescentes. A pesquisa aconteceu em um serviço de acolhimento da cidade de São Paulo com histórico de resistência à medicalização dos acolhidos. Buscou-se, então, ouvir, por meio de rodas de conversa e entrevistas narrativas, o processo de enfrentamento que se deu na década de 2000 e o modo como se mantém como compromisso político no serviço. Para isso, foram ouvidos profissionais do serviço e da rede, à época e atualmente; e adolescentes e jovens acolhidos, à época e atualmente. Sob os aportes dos Estudos Sociais da Infância, da Análise Institucional, de Michel Foucault e da História Oral, buscou-se discutir como as demandas de saúde mental produzidas nos serviços de acolhimento institucional têm-se configurado. Para isso, no primeiro capítulo, discutem-se as legislações da infância e a política de assistência social, que pautam os serviços de acolhimento institucional de crianças e adolescentes. No segundo capítulo, discutiu-se a construção do lugar da psiquiatria na sociedade contemporânea e como esse contexto reflete nas práticas e estudos no campo da infância e adolescência, principalmente no acolhimento institucional. Contextualiza-se também, em seguida, o campo das políticas públicas da infância sob medida de proteção de acolhimento institucional na cidade de São Paulo, com destaque para procedimentos do Ministério Público do Estado.Por fim, foram construídos dois ensaios narrativos: 1) sobre as estratégias metodológicas de uma equipe e o modo como compuseram um processo de resistência à medicalização da infância na década de 2000 e 2) o processo de resistência de João, menino institucionalizado desde o primeiro ano de vida e patologizado em todas as suas manifestações e reações. Consideramos que este trabalho possa contribuir com pistas metodológicas de um fazer que resista aos discursos adultocêntricos, médico-psiquiátricos e tutelares que podem, facilmente, desconsiderar as múltiplas infâncias e suas manifestações singulares.Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPqapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/40972/Marina%20Galacini%20Massari.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Psicologia: Psicologia SocialPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Ciências Humanas e da SaúdeCriancas -- Assistencia em instituicoes.Adolescentes - Assistência em instituiçõesMedicalizaçãoSaúde mentalCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIA::PSICOLOGIA SOCIALServiços de acolhimento para crianças e adolescentes e medicalização: narrativas de resistênciainfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTMarina Galacini Massari.pdf.txtMarina Galacini Massari.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain443143https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/19680/4/Marina%20Galacini%20Massari.pdf.txt6c24faf05045542749ebd4846ae88ed2MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
