Resumo: This thesis is based on the Sociocognitive Perspective of Critical Discourse Analysis, thematizes the cultural beliefs of the Amazonian caboclo represented ideologically in popular musical texts, regional legends and in the discourses of History and Geography. The choice of the subject is justified because it is necessary talk about the prejudice that the caboclo suffers, since in the case of the Amazon, political projects take nature first to the detriment of man. In general, power conceals this prejudice by describing the wealth of existing natural resources and, above all, constructed landscapes, full of contrasts and contradictions. Thus, this research seeks to prove, through the analysis of selected texts, the existence of prejudice rooted in the social representation of the Amazonian caboclo, defending the need to denounce such prejudice, which leads to social exclusion of the caboclo. There are several works published on amazonian caboclo, but with focus on nature.Thus, this research seeks to answer: 1. What is the role of Amazonian culture in the current regional society? 2. To what extent, despite the miscegenation, do the Amazonian cultural beliefs reveal this prejudice? The general objective of the research is to contribute with the cultural / ideological studies of the Amazonian caboclo, from a critical perspective; and as specific objectives: 1. Examine the updated lexical selection in the text, the social roles represented by them and the cultural / ideological values contained in the social context; 2. To deal with the reference in textual construction and the more global sense of Amazonian musical texts and legends. 3. Present the intertextuality by intertexts related to the analyzed base text. The proposed research presents a qualitative and documental approach, with a theoretical-analytical procedure. The results obtained from the analyzes indicate that: 1) although the caboclo of Amazonas preserves the cultural values inherited by the Indians, it also absorbed ideological values of the colonizer, such as religion; 2) In the musical texts, the caboclo is represented with positive values due to the cultural tradition of the natives and in their search to resume their native culture. The negative values refer to the ideology of the European colonizer that objectified the annihilation of the cabocla culture and its values attributed to the indigenous ethnicity; 3) In the analysis of regional legends, the Legends of Boto and Iara both represent the female desire for the liberation of women against male prejudice. Positive values are attributed to women in the legends of Icamiabas and Iara, as they are representations of women free of men. The Legend of the Great Snake attributes positive value to man, for being protective, gentle, savior. 4) In the discourses of Geography and History, the caboclo is presented with negative values attributed to the inequality and the inferiorization imposed by the civilizational projects and occupation of the region that do not consider them as subjects bearing history and a culture. In summary, this thesis defends the need to denounce the veiled prejudice that leads to the social exclusion of the Amazonian caboclo

In summary, this thesis defends the need to denounce the veiled prejudice that leads to the social exclusion of the Amazonian cabocloEsta tese está fundamentada na Vertente Sociocognitiva da Análise Crítica do Discurso, tematiza as crenças culturais do caboclo amazonense representadas ideologicamente em músicas populares, lendas regionais e nos discursos da História e da Geografia. Justifica-se a escolha do tema, pois se faz necessário abordar o preconceito que o caboclo sofre, já que ao se tratar do Amazonas os projetos políticos levam em consideração primeiramente a natureza em detrimento ao homem. De forma geral, o poder oculta esse preconceito por descrever a riqueza dos recursos naturais existentes e, sobretudo, paisagens construídas, repletas de contrastes e contradições. Desse modo, esta investigação busca comprovar, por meio das análises dos textos selecionados, a existência de preconceito enraizado na representação social do caboclo amazonense, defendendo a necessidade de denunciar tal preconceito, que leva à exclusão social do caboclo. Existem vários trabalhos publicados sobre o caboclo amazonense, mas com enfoque na natureza. Assim, esta pesquisa busca responder: 1. Qual o papel da cultura amazonense na atual sociedade regional? 2. Em que medida, apesar da miscigenação, as crenças culturais amazonenses revelam esse preconceito? O objetivo geral da pesquisa é contribuir com os estudos culturais/ideológicos do caboclo amazonense, a partir de uma perspectiva crítica; e como objetivos específicos: 1. Examinar a seleção lexical atualizada no texto, os papéis sociais representado por elas e os valores culturais/ideológicos contidos no contexto social; 2. Tratar da referenciação na construção textual e o sentido mais global dos textos musicais e lendas amazonenses. 3. Apresentar a intertextualidade por intertextos relativos ao texto-base analisado. A investigação proposta apresenta uma abordagem qualitativa e documental, com procedimento teórico-analítico. Os resultados obtidos das análises indicam que: 1) Embora o caboclo do Amazonas preserve os valores culturais legados pelos indígenas, absorveu também valores ideológicos do colonizador, como a religião; os valores negativos se referem à ideologia do colonizador europeu que objetivou a aniquilação da cultura cabocla e de seus valores atribuídos à etnia indígena; 2) Nos textos musicais, o caboclo é representado com valores positivos devido à tradição cultural dos indígenas e na sua busca para retomar sua cultura nativa. 3) Na análise das lendas regionais, as Lendas do Boto e da Iara representam o desejo feminino da libertação da mulher frente ao preconceito masculino. Os valores positivos são atribuídos à mulher nas Lendas das Icamiabas e da Iara, por serem representações de mulheres livres do domínio masculino. A Lenda da Cobra Grande atribui valor positivo ao homem, por ser protetor, gentil, salvador. 4) Nos discursos da Geografia e da História, o caboclo é apresentado com valores negativos atribuídos à desigualdade e à inferiorização imposta pelos projetos civilizatórios e de ocupação da região que não os consideram como sujeitos portadores de história e de uma cultura. Em síntese, esta tese defende a necessidade de denunciar o preconceito velado que leva à exclusão social do caboclo amazonenseCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/50497/S%c3%b4nia%20Maria%20Oliveira%20e%20Silva.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Língua PortuguesaPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Filosofia, Comunicação, Letras e ArtesAnálise crítica do discurso - AmazonasAmazonas - CulturaCaboclos (Povo brasileiro)Amazonas, AM - Usos e costumesCritical discourse analysis - Amazonas (Brazil)Amazonas (Brazil) - CultureCaboclos (Brazilian people)Amazonas (Brazil) - Social life and customsCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::LETRAS::LINGUA PORTUGUESAA representação textual-discursiva do caboclo amazonense em músicas populares e lendas regionaisThe textual-discursive representation of the Amazonian caboclo in popular songs and regional legendsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTSônia Maria Oliveira e Silva.pdf.txtSônia Maria Oliveira e Silva.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain484312https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/22638/5/S%c3%b4nia%20Maria%20Oliveira%20e%20Silva.pdf.txt170a60409dbceb41330e7e34d390be3bMD55LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
