GLogic: uma proposta de jogo digital para ensino de lógica de programação

Resumo: The use of game elements, as well as their mechanisms, are elements that can significantly influence the teaching and learning process. This work aims to study educational digital games with gamification for teaching programming logic, contemplating their fundamentals, game design elements and their development, and based on the standard features of the Unity engine. What justifies this research is that, the official Brazilian indexes show low quality in basic education (BRASIL, 2019), and this demonstrates that it is necessary to think about alternative ways to improve these indexes and among these alternatives I propose digital games and gamification. What motivates this research is the possibility of investigating other ways that can contribute to the evolution of education from the development of educational games in Brazil, in order to encourage the development and use of games in the educational environment. The problem question makes us ask: how can digital games and gamification help in the pedagogical strategies used in the disciplines that approach the logic of programming? We believe that the use of the educational digital game with gamified pedagogical activities can strategically contribute to teaching and learning in the programming logic. The methodology of this research is characterized by means of applied research procedure and employs the qualitative method, and as for the type and depth it is characterized as experimental. The GLogic game, developed in this research, was tested by six teachers in the area of software development, with extensive experience in the area. The systematic review of previous studies corresponded to the period from 2017 to 2020, considering research available in the following electronic databases: CAPES journals; Google scholar; Brazilian Symposium on Informatics in Education - SBIE; SBGames. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire with 20 questions covering pedagogical aspects, technological aspects, usability aspects, and teaching aspects of programming logic was developed on Google forms. The results show that the game developed in this study can assist in the pedagogical strategies of teaching programming logic

Este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar os jogos digitais educativos com gamificação para o ensino de lógica de programação, contemplando seus fundamentos, elementos de game design e seu desenvolvimento, e tendo como base os recursos padrões do engine Unity. O que justifica esta pesquisa, é que, os índices oficiais brasileiros mostram baixa qualidade na educação básica (BRASIL, 2019), e isso demonstra que é necessário pensar formas alternativas para melhorar tais índices e dentre essas alternativas proponho os jogos digitais e a gamificação. O que motiva a realização dessa pesquisa é a possibilidade de investigar outras formas que possam contribuir para a evolução da educação a partir do desenvolvimento de games educacionais no Brasil, no sentido de incentivar o desenvolvimento e a utilização de games no ambiente educacional. A questão problema nos faz indagar: como os jogos digitais e a gamificação podem auxiliar nas estratégias pedagógicas utilizadas nas disciplinas que abordem a lógica de programação? Acreditamos que o uso do jogo digital educativo com atividades pedagógicas gamificadas pode contribuir estrategicamente para o ensino e aprendizagem na lógica de programação. A metodologia desta pesquisa se caracteriza por meio de procedimento de pesquisa aplicada e emprega o método qualitativo, e quanto ao tipo e profundidade se caracteriza como experimental. O jogo GLogic, desenvolvido nesta pesquisa, foi testado por seis professores que atuam no desenvolvimento de software, com uma vasta experiência na área. A revisão sistemática de estudos anteriores correspondeu ao período de 2017 a 2020, considerando pesquisas disponíveis nas seguintes bases de dados eletrônicas: Periódicos CAPES; Google scholar; Simpósio Brasileiro de Informática na Educação – SBIE; SBGames. Como instrumento de coleta de dados, foi elaborado no Google formulários, um questionário com 20 questões, contemplando aspectos pedagógicos, aspectos tecnológicos, aspectos de usabilidade, e aspectos de ensino de lógica de programação.
