This study aimed to investigate and understand the virtual betrayal in marriage, and how it affects the relationships as nowadays the virtual relationship is very common due to ease of access and a possibility of living out our fantasies confidentially, enabling an anonymous exposure. For this study we attempt to do a bibliographic research on the subject, as well as interviews with people (guys) who experience a real relationship and parallel get involved with other people with sexual purpose through chat rooms and betrayal websites. The key concepts studied were relationship, virtual betrayal, cybersex and infidelity. Through the research it was concluded that regardless of how the relationships through the interned begin, through the privacy shared between the virtual partners, talks were progressing to the sexual side and their fantasies not experience in the “real world”, where the intention of betraying exist, even though there is no physical contact. The conclusion is that even the internet enabling new ways of expressions and communication, the search for virtual relationships shows a need for immediate satisfaction and brings real consequences to relationships, bringing the same damages and suffering than one “real betrayal”
