Resumo: University sports is a significant and indispensable sports segment within colleges and universities as it brings improvements to all students who participate, both in terms of physical and mental health, as well as sociability and integration. However, it lacks attention in terms of management and investment. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to contribute to this topic by presenting the current sports scenario and its challenges. Additionally, the research also aims to explore other possibilities for university sports to succeed, not only in existing competitions but also as a step toward professionalization. The research takes into account the different scenarios in public and private educational institutions. The choice of this topic arose from the author's personal dissatisfaction with the context of university sports in which she was involved. The chosen format for the research product is a podcast, as the work involved numerous interviews and aligns with the author's appreciation for this type of content

Assim, o propósito deste trabalho é contribuir para esse tema, apresentando o cenário esportivo atual e seus obstáculos. Além disso, a pesquisa pretende também mostrar outras possibilidades de o esporte universitário ter êxito não só nas competições existentes, mas também como um passo para a profissionalização. A pesquisa leva em consideração os diferentes cenários das instituições de ensino públicas e privadas. A escolha deste tema ocorreu devido ao descontentamento pessoal da autora em relação ao contexto do esporte universitário no qual estava inserida.
