This paper aims to show the importance of physical activity in the training of individuals from early childhood, urging people to live more active, healthy and balanced. We used a theoretical research, which consisted in the reconstruction of theories, frameworks, and explanatory conditions of reality, polemics and discussions relevant. This theoretical research does not require immediate intervention in reality, but nonetheless still important, since their role is crucial in creating the conditions for intervention. The theorists underlying this research were: Henri Wallon, Jean Piaget, Joao Batista Freire, Fátima Gonçalves, Jean LeBoulch. It was concluded that we cannot treat children as a fragmented being, where the head and body are worked at separate times. We must look at children as a individuals with body, cognitive, emotional and social areas. Since the body is the vehicle that carries this whole individual. If this vehicle is dominated by the individual and appropriated, any experience is more easily absorbed. Children who have its body awareness believe in the power of your own body, has the confidence to experiment and explore the world
