The Negotiable Note is an instrument that criatesan exchange obligation, in which theconditions and specifications are described inthe material’s support–the paper title. Thisnote paper represents the Negotiable Note, which isnedded and sufficient for the exercise ofthe literal and autonomous law, mentioned in thepaper title. On account of the technologicalinnovations and the increasing flexibility of the commercial activities, there is a need for alegal normative action whatallows the substitution of the paper titlefor Computer-Baseddocuments, especially for the Bank Credit Note and the duplicate. Therefore, this work seeksto analyse the necessity of the Negotiable Note virtualization, considering the source, purpose,and urge of thisvirtualization on the Note, in order to adjust it to an electronic structure thatguarantees the same function and security of the physical Negotiable Note
