Avaliação institucional: em busca de um currículo crítico-emancipatório em construção

This study has the purpose to investigate the political presuppositions that justify the existence of the Institutional Evaluation and its role in the construction of a critical emancipating curriculum. The developed analysis starts from the objective conditions of the Superior Brazilian Education for the exercise of the technical actions of evaluation, in a determined university experience where were employed the instruments that supplied the elements of reading of the degree of satisfaction of the academic community with the courses of the activities and institutional goals presented in that given pedagogic and administrative reality. It historically analyses the institutional and legal changes of the Brazilian University to make explicit its political conditionings and processes or social determinations. It investigates the theoretical axles and the political, institutional models and epistemological which define the profiles in dispute in the definition of the social paper of the University. While investigating the philosophical presuppositions of this kind of evaluation the limits and means were considered for the reach of the evaluation form that, transcending the technical act of lifting and data handling, could exceed the classic controller identity of the processes of evaluation towards the autonomous processes that would make possible an institutional emancipating evaluation. The research participant happened from the elaboration and implementation of a self-evaluation in an SEI (Superior Educational Institution) in the city of São Paulo, where all his phases were developed and covered. It presents results and contradictions of a process of Institutional Evaluation and undertakes theoretical reflections and academic proposals of production of a culture participant and emancipating of self-evaluation for the SEI
