Introduction: one of the relevant aspects to be considered by the speech therapist in working with teachers is their self-perception about the mechanisms involved in vocal production, an important component regarding their communication with students, considering that in their training no attention is given to this aspect. Objective: to analyze the awareness of university teachers about the knowledge of the subsystems involved in voice production, through participation in a synchronous remote workshop. Method: This intervention-type study, with analysis of data collected before and after the workshop, was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) (CAAE - nº 54282621.5.0000.5482). The selected workshop, called "Your voice, your way", was designed considering the clinical experience of speech therapy actions aimed at vocal improvement, carried out in groups. The study included the first five university professors who responded to an e-mail invitation. The inclusion criteria were: being a teacher, having previously taken the course entitled "Teacher, let's take care of your voice? '', showing interest in knowing the subsystems involved in voice production and having completed the online evaluation questionnaires, inserted in the Google Forms® platform, namely: a) Vocal Disadvantage Index-10 (VDI-10), b) Vocal Disorder Screening Index (VDSI), c) Breathing, phonation, articulation, resonance and prosody questionnaire (ReFARP) specifically designed for this research, with the aim of assessing the participants' knowledge of the subsystems involved in voice production and d) Program Implementation Assessment Scale (PIAS). The analysis considered the presentation of data before and after the workshop. Results: the group, composed of three female and two male individuals, had a median age of 57.2 years and 26.8 years of working time. Regarding the VDI-10 score, in all its domains (functional, organic and emotional), the five subjects presented values within the normal range (less than 7.5) in the pre- and post-workshop moments. In the analysis of the ITDV, only one subject (S4) registered a possible voice disorder before the workshop and after the workshop obtained a score within the expected range for normality. As for the aspects related to breathing, phonation, articulation, resonance and prosody, the subjects showed lack of knowledge before the Workshop, registering pertinent answers after the Workshop. In the EAIP in the objective, activities, participation and resources domains, all participants obtained the expected total score for each of the dimensions (20, 25, 20 and 25, respectively) and in the other aspects, the values presented were close to the total. In the final report, teachers recorded positive comments, some of them suggested holding monthly meetings and future projects that can be associated with the intervention. Conclusion: the effects of the workshop "Your voice, your way", offered in the synchronous remote modality, were positive. This conclusion is possible since there was an increase in knowledge about all aspects presented after the workshop
