In this paper I researched the development of a form of art called Artist’s Book. Being tradionally edited by a Publisher, it can be a way of presenting the artist’s work or be itself a piece created to be printed and admired. An Artitst’s Book can be used as an important object to preserve the memory of the artist and his work, with the potential to become itself a piece. I analyse books such as Barroco dos Lírios (1997) and Caixa de livros TUNGA (2007), both from TUNGS, published by Cosac Naify, and the book SEM TÍTULO, 1997, from Rosana Monnerat (MAM SP). There’s an overlook about how to preserve the materials used in the making of the book and a small compilation of types of papers that are usually used to print these Works of art
