This work proposes to reflect on what it is to be an adept follower of Jesus Christ, in the perspective of the kingdom of God. The sociopolitical, and religious context of this historical period are relevant resources used to make a coherent panoramic view of the reality contemplated from the theological conception to the salvific development of the event Jesus in the light of the Gospels as the first source. What would be the real meaning of salvation in the time of Jesus? What specifically does liberation consist of according to the Gospels? Now, the being and the action of Jesus Christ vehemently challenged the way of understanding God, restricted only to a people to the multiplicities of superficial laws and procedures reused, most of the time, to manipulate and alienate the temple recipients subordinated to the Empire. The practice of love translated into concrete gestures of mercy revealed in Jesus awakened in people's consciousness a new horizon of hope and perspective of life, obviously contrary to the guiding principles of anti-kingdom leaders. The proposal of the preaching of Jesus consists precisely in the establishment of the kingdom of God according to a new prototype of life and style, where justice, law, equality, fraternity, orphans, widows, immigrants, various forms of oppression and exploitation. Apparently the pursuit of Jesus of Nazareth for human dignity, liberation and integrity will result in a major historical failure because its politically planned execution was a blunt factor that supposedly suppressed this salvific project. However, the resurrection of Jesus Christ related and witnessed by the apostles tells us the opposite of the later and current authentic adherents who have adhered to this new movement of faith, hope and active charity, re-signifying today the acts and words of Jesus in order to securing this profession of faith in attitudes of love, mercy and justice toward others are visible signs of this phenomenon
