Starting from the premise that the reign of God, center of the Good News of Jesus, must urgently guide the lives of men and women who adhere to the proposal of Jesus, implying a social / political movement directed first at the poor, marginalized and the author seeks to understand the notion of the Kingdom of God among the catechists concerned with the formation of children and adolescents with a view to the sacraments of initiation. It uses the see-judge-act method, inaugurated by the specific Catholic Action founded by Fr. Joseph Cardjin and consecrated by the pastoral practice of the Latin American Church, updating it in: contemplate-discern-propose. After studying the understanding of this notion from a biblical-theological point of view and from the thought of the Church, he began a field research in the diocese of São José dos Campos, more particularly in the parish where Our Lady of Lourdes works, under the care of the Dehonian parents. The conclusions of this research make it possible to deepen the different ways in which Jesus' message about the Kingdom cannot be reduced to a future expectation or event, but be assimilated as a collective construction that is done in the here and now and requires of the Christians effort and disposition, reaching its fullness in the Parousia announced by Jesus and deepened by the apostle Paul. Living as a missionary disciple and proclaiming the Good News is the segment of Jesus that, despite demanding renunciation of himself, generates great joy and guides his entire life towards the consummation of communion with God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. In this context, the disciple acquires his mark in boundless love, whose model is the Lord who humbly serves (Cf. Jn 13: 12-15), in a world whose logic impels individuals to want to be served anyway
