Resumo: The active participation of the faithful is not something presumably implicit in the Church‟s liturgical reality; at least it was not until the Council Vatican II, who rescued this reality for liturgical celebrations. By observing the first Christian communities celebrating and breaking bread in their homes, so that all were integrated and were agents of the celebration, we understand the desire so true to revitalize this key part of the Church's life. The people should not just be a spectator, but rather part of that truly paschal mystery celebrated by the Church under the mandate of Jesus Christ, her divine founder

Ao observarmos as primeiras comunidades cristãs que celebravam e partiam o pão pelas casas de forma que todos estavam integrados e todos eram agentes na celebração, entendemos o desejo tão verdadeiro de se revitalizar essa peça fundamental para a vida da Igreja.
