This work aims to discuss the feminine image in the religious field on the perspective of the temples of the Assembly of God Belem, with the aim of discovering the role of women in this context. My reference look will be on Frida Maria Strandberg (1891-1940). Married to the Swede who founded, in Belém do Pará, the Assembly of God. Frida became one of the most important leaders of the church during the 15 years she was in Brazil. She helped build the ministry in Rio de Janeiro, ran a newspaper and preached in a public square, evangelized in prisons and outlying areas, and taught at Sunday School. Often took the lead of her husband, because of being unable, for his fragile health. The story of Frida, passed decades forgotten and until today is silenced. In the current scenario, women are still most of the evangelical temples, which are coming out of the backstages every day and gaining space to be protagonists in the universe still dominated by the male figure. However, in the Assembly of God Belem, women still do not have recognition for leadership, the performance of women in this context is still only to assist their leaders, and can not be consecrated to any ministerial position. It is possible to visualize this difference of gender, in the liturgy of the cults, where women have positions, only to assist in the reception of the temples. I focus on rescuing the importance, giving voice and visibility to Frida and so many other women who were and still are silenced in the stories of the Assembly of God Belem
