This research focuses on analyzing the pedagogical practices of authors who studied ways that provide meaningful learning for students, in schools, and understanding the contributions of the different languages in the development of children. It is a theoretical work which seeks to exemplify the possibilities of using different practices in children’s education, taking into consideration the interests and characteristics of each child. For this, a survey was made of the main theories of learning and of authors who experienced an alternative pedagogy, creating innovative practices and using many different activities and resources, with the goal of providing an education connected to life. The research confirmed that children learn best when they have the opportunity to experience meaningful content, and pointed out that teachers need to innovate in practice, building learning situations that lead students to construct their own knowledge, knowledge for life. The use of meaningful practice gives students the opportunity to learn with more pleasure, to experience their own learning, to contribute, to grow, immediately, to the full development of children, who learn playing
