Indústria 4.0 e precarização do trabalho no Brasil: uma análise das condições de trabalho dos entregadores de delivery na cidade de São Paulo

The monograph aims to address the historical process of massification of labor precarization in Brazil and its impact on the lives of app-based delivery drivers, who have increasingly reduced rights and are sold the false idea that they are autonomous entrepreneurs, merely outsourced service providers. These ideas stem from neoliberalism, which has taken root in the country, and the evolution of the Industry 4.0, which has been instrumental in this process through the emergence of new digital labor. The main objective of the research is to shed light on the issue of labor precarization in Brazil and to explore the perspectives of delivery drivers regarding their social and living conditions, as well as to demonstrate the hollowness of the term "entrepreneurship" that is constantly marketed to them. To achieve this, a qualitative research was conducted with nine different delivery drivers, in which they provided their accounts of the social conditions they face and their working conditions. Additionally, a quantitative research conducted by CEBRAP was utilized to outline the profile of app-based delivery drivers. Through these investigations, it becomes evident that delivery drivers face numerous difficulties, are constantly exposed to risks, and receive low remuneration for their work, considering the long hours they put in, which leads to physical and mental degradation of the workforce. Therefore, it is crucial to listen to them in order to determine improvements in remuneration and specific benefits that can bring more dignity to these workers, who are vital to modern society
