This monograph was developed in order to know a little more about what is the degree of importance that sports and games are in school life and student learning, since when we see a child playing make-believe we feel attracted by the representations it develops. This article aims to show the importance of play and games in schools for indigenous education. Through play and games, children develop knowledge, solve conflicts, experiencing sensations, deal with different feelings and learn to live and work with a group. While playing, the child is thinking, creating and developing, among other factors, the critical thinking. Playing is a daily reality in the lives of children. Play is not a prevented from exercising symbolic imagination, an instrument that provides them the means to assimilate to their real desires and interests. The play and the game are arguably the most natural way to awaken the child's attention to one activity. Games should be presented gradually, through the simple play, hone observation, comparison, imagination and reflection. Through fun activities, children develop oral language, attention, reasoning and the ability of handling, besides rescuing their potential and their knowledge. Develops the imagination, spontaneity, mental reasoning, attention, creativity, and both verbal expression and body
