Resumo: The routine in Long Term Care Institutions for elder can favor the subjective alienation and, loses of communicative function of speech and memory is “deleted”. With autobiographical narratives of institucionalized elder, realized that the memories was crystallized into meaningful experiences and the distance from other people and the reality of the institution, pointing the need to create a space in which "memories" can be heard.
