Resumo: We report here the experience of implementing a theater workshop for the 50+ audience that took place at SP Escola de Teatro in July 2018 and during the first semester of 2019. The project was driven by the results of the research “Bairro Amigo do Idoso - Brás e Mooca (São Paulo)” pointing out the lack of cultural activities for elderly people in the Brás neighborhood. The importance of an approximation between gerontology and the arts, and between research and university extension was highlighted.

Brás y Mooca (São Paulo), señalando la falta de actividades culturales para ancianos en el barrio de Brás. Se destacó la importancia de una aproximación entre la gerontología y las artes, y entre la investigación y la extensión.Relata-se aqui a experiência da implementação de uma oficina teatral voltada ao público 50+, ocorrida na SP Escola de Teatro, em julho de 2018 e durante o primeiro semestre de 2019. O projeto é fruto dos resultados da pesquisa Bairro Amigo do Idoso – Brás e Mooca, da cidade de São Paulo, apontando-se a carência de atividades culturais para pessoas idosas no bairro do Brás.
