Educational and social technologies to prevent violence against the elderly: an integrative literature Review

Resumo: The present study aims to identify in the literature the use of educational and social technologies to prevent violence against the elderly. This is an integrative literature review, carried out in the databases BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE and SCIELO, July-August 2020, in pairs, considering the ten-year time frame in Portuguese, English and Spanish. To formulate the search strategy, controlled and uncontrolled health descriptors were used, combined with each other through the Boolean operators AND and OR. 999 articles were found, and after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a sample of 11 was obtained. From the analysis of the studies, two thematic categories emerged: Revealed Technologies and Technology Prospecting. Principles of Wanda de Aguiar Horta's theory were adopted in the discussion. Of the technologies revealed, it was found that care technologies predominated with a focus on changes arising from senescence and senility. From prospecting, it was found that educational and social technologies are presented as instruments of information, education, the possibility of expanded care and behavioral changes. It was concluded that there is a shortage of educational and social technologies aimed at preventing violence against the elderly, which raises the need for the production of such technologies and the publication of studies with this theme.

Se trata de una revisión integradora de la literatura, realizada en las bases de datos BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE y SCIELO, julio-agosto 2020, por parejas, considerando el marco temporal de diez años en portugués, inglés y español. Para formular la estrategia de búsqueda se utilizaron descriptores de salud controlados y no controlados, combinados entre sí mediante los operadores booleanos AND y OR. Se encontraron 999 artículos y luego de aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión se obtuvo una muestra de 11. Del análisis de los estudios surgieron dos categorías temáticas: Tecnologías Reveladas y Prospección Tecnológica. Los principios de la teoría de Wanda de Aguiar Horta fueron adoptados en la discusión. De las tecnologías reveladas, se encontró que predominaron las tecnologías de cuidado con un enfoque en los cambios derivados de la senescencia y la senilidad. A partir de la prospección, se encontró que las tecnologías educativas y sociales se presentan como instrumentos de información, educación, posibilidad de atención ampliada y cambios conductuales. Se concluyó que existe una escasez de tecnologías educativas y sociales orientadas a prevenir la violencia contra las personas mayores, lo que plantea la necesidad de la producción de dichas tecnologías y la publicación de estudios con este tema.Objetiva-se identificar na literatura a utilização de tecnologias educacionais e sociais para prevenção da violência contra a pessoa idosa, via revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada nas bases de dados BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE e SciELO, julho-agosto 2020, aos pares, considerando o recorte temporal de dez anos em português, inglês e espanhol. Para formulação da estratégia de busca, utilizados descritores em saúde, controlados e não-controlados, combinados entre si por meio dos operadores booleanos AND e OR. Encontrados 999 artigos; após aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, obteve-se amostra de 11. Da análise dos estudos, emergiram duas categorias temáticas: Tecnologias Reveladas e Prospecção de Tecnologias. Adotaram-se, na discussão, princípios da teoria de Wanda de Aguiar Horta. Das tecnologias reveladas, constatou-se que predominaram as tecnologias de cuidado com direcionamento às modificações advindas da senescência e senilidade. Da prospecção, verificou-se que as tecnologias educativas e sociais se apresentam como instrumentos de informação, educação, possibilidade de cuidados ampliados e mudanças de comportamento.
