Resumo: This work points out the aging of individuals with Down Syndrome; discusses how these people are in old age in relation to rights as citizens, comes to about the role of family and society and also approaches quality of life in senile stage. Thus, this paper aims to articulate these concepts in search of a clearer picture of the context in their communities in the hope that, thereafter, the society and government can reflect, to position and act on this situation of social.
