Resumo: This paper proposes reflections on the grieving process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The conceptualization of the mourning process and the notions of unrecognized mourning, anticipatory mourning and deferred mourning favored the discussion about how this process has been crossed by collective social isolation and its repercussions on patients, families and professionals of essential services. Despite the great losses and changes that have occurred, the current authors have emphasized that healthy coping occurs from the experience of the dual process of mourning.

La conceptualización del proceso de duelo y las nociones de duelo no reconocido, duelo anticipatorio y duelo diferido, nos ha favorecido para discutir cómo este proceso ha sido atravesado por el aislamiento social colectivo y sus repercusiones en pacientes, familiares y profesionales de servicios esenciales. A pesar de las grandes pérdidas y cambios que se han producido, los autores actuales han destacado que el afrontamiento saludable se da a partir de la vivencia del proceso dual del duelo. O presente trabalho propõe reflexões a respeito do processo de luto durante a pandemia de Covid-19. A conceituação do processo de luto e das noções de luto não reconhecido, luto antecipatório, e luto adiado, favoreceu-nos a discussão sobre como este processo tem sido atravessado pelo isolamento social coletivo e suas repercussões em pacientes, familiares e profissionais de serviços essenciais.
