The elderly and the use of technology - a systematic review of the literature

Resumo: The advent of Information and Communication Technologies (TICs) promoted improvements in the health of the elderly, which, with increasing longevity, marked their participation in the digital age. The study presents the insertion of the elderly in the technological universe and questions their digital inclusion, respecting the possible limitations to the aging process. The methodology is based on the systematic review of 17 articles and 1 dissertation, with the theme of the elderly and the technology, in the last 10 years. The results demonstrate that for better possibility and maintenance of quality of life and leisure, pedagogical programs and courses must be carried out.

El estudio presenta la inserción del anciano en el universo tecnológico y cuestiona su inclusión digital, respetando las posibles limitaciones al proceso de envejecimiento. La metodología se sustenta en la revisión sistemática de 16 artículos y una disertación, con la temática del anciano y de la tecnología, en los últimos 10 años.
