Resumo: This study aims to analyze the occurrence of work accidents in Brazil with the elderly from the secondary data of the Ministry of Social Security and submitted to descriptive and inferential statistical analyzes. The results indicate a tendency to increase the number of accidents with older workers compared to the other workers, indicating the need for further studies and adoption of more appropriate protection policies for these workers.

The results indicate a tendency to increase the number of accidents with older workers compared to the other workers, indicating the need for further studies and adoption of more appropriate protection policies for these workers.  Este estudio tiene por objetivo analizar la ocurrencia de accidentes de trabajo en Brasil con ancianos a partir de los datos secundarios del Ministerio de la Previsión Social y sometidos a análisis estadísticos descriptivos e inferenciales. Los resultados indican tendencias de aumento del número de accidentes con trabajadores mayores en comparación con los demás trabajadores, indicando la necesidad de profundización de los estudios y adopción de políticas de protección más adecuadas para esos trabajadores. Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar a ocorrência de acidentes de trabalho no Brasil com idosos a partir dos dados secundários do Ministério da Previdência Social e submetidos a análises estatísticas descritivas e inferenciais.
