Nursing Interventions prescribed for hospitalized elderlies according to the level of dependence in activities of daily living

Resumo: In order to identify the nursing interventions most prescribed for hospitalized elderly, according to their level of dependence for Activity of Daily Living (ADL), we analyzed 51 elderlies admitted to a geriatric ward belonging to a large hospital in São Paulo, after informed consent. It was observed that 51% of subjects had severe dependence and the most significantly prescribed interventions were related to mobility, bathing and safety of the patient.
