Resumo: This paper aims at presenting an analysis of the epilogue of Crime and Punishment which takes into account Bakhtin’s elaboration on Dostoevsky’s novels as well as other critical trends more or less congruent with it. Considering the concept of polyphonic novel and Bakhtin’s reserves in using it to analyze the endings of Dostoevsky’s novels, we intend to verify the strength of this concept on this epilogue in particular through a dialogue with different critical standpoints.
