Resumo: Religion and literature are two broad areas which are in origin connected with each other. On one hand, the great religious traditions rely on Sacred scripture. On the other hand, the modern national literatures emerged in the religious universe, and since the 17th century there was a fast detachment and growing autonomy of culture from Christianity. Below, It will be examined how this very tense relationship between literature and theology became the subject of scientific debate in Europe. Keywords: Theology and Literature; European Theology; Modernity and Postmodernity.

Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo2011-05-23info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtigo avaliado pelos Paresapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.pucsp.br/index.php/teoliteraria/article/view/2294210.19143/2236-9937.2016v1n1p148-168Teoliteraria - Journal of Literatures and Theologies (On Line) ISSN 2236-9937; Vol. 1 No. 1 (2011): Só poetas: Mútiplas relações entre Poesias e Teologias; 148-168Teoliteraria - Revista de Literaturas y Teologías (On Line) ISSN 2236-9937; Vol. 1 Núm. 1 (2011): Só poetas: Mútiplas relações entre Poesias e Teologias; 148-168TEOLITERARIA - Revista de Literaturas e Teologias; v. 1 n. 1 (2011): Só poetas: Mútiplas relações entre Poesias e Teologias; 148-1682236-9937reponame:Teoliteráriainstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPporhttps://revistas.pucsp.br/index.php/teoliteraria/article/view/22942/16610Langenhorst, Georginfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2022-12-13T19:00:50Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/22942Revistahttps://revistas.pucsp.br/teoliterariaPRIhttps://revistas.pucsp.br/teoliteraria/oaialex@teoliteraria.com||teoliteraria@teoliteraria.com2236-99372236-9937opendoar:2022-12-13T19:00:50Teoliterária - Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)false
