Resumo: | The text articulates Bourdieu’s social theory along with Martin Barbero’s mediations theories and Garcia Canclini’s cultural consumption, aiming at understanding how the interpretation of media content among working class women contributes to the conformity of their gender and class habitus. The discussion, proposed from the articulation of two empirical researches, highlights the relevance of outlining a landscape of cultural capital, especially the one accumulated in family and school, as a way to better understand the paths of interpretation of media/cultural consumption and reception. |
