Resumo: | The aim of this study is to provide a broadening of the concept of educational historical narrative, in this case, of Colonial Brazil, especially in the transition between the 17th and 18th centuries around the concept of colonial pedagogical gesture. We describe this concept and propose its confrontation with the historical reality of the formation of the Brazilian territory, specifically around the mining territory, in the mines of Serro do Frio (Vila do Príncipe, capital of the Serro do Frio County, currently the city of Serro/MG). For that, we introduced the notion of document as consultation processes written in sacred letters in order to say the absent ones, responsible for conducting the control procedures of the Portuguese Crown of his kingdom and its colonies, based on some arguments by António Manuel Hespanha, in particular the Regiments. The methodology is limited to bibliographic research of Portuguese and Brazilian archival documents, as well as the dialogue of thought with historians. The result achieved is the offer of a foundation for the historical educational narrative, especially for the revelation of the role of education – formal or informal – in the reading and writing of Brazilian colonial history. |

Descrevemos este conceito e propomos sua confrontação com a realidade histórica da formação do território brasileiro, especificamente em torno do território mineiro, nas minas do Serro do Frio (Vila do Príncipe, capital da Comarca do Serro do Frio atual cidade do Serro/MG). Para isso, introduzimos a noção de documento como processos para consulta escritos em sagradas letras a fim de dizer os ausentes, responsável pela condução dos procedimentos de controle da Coroa portuguesa de seu reino e de suas colônias, a partir de alguns argumentos de António Manuel Hespanha, em especial dos Regimentos. A metodologia circunscreve-se em torno de pesquisa bibliográfica de documentos arquivísticos portugueses e brasileiros, bem como o diálogo de pensamento com historiadores.
