Resumo: We present a business case that follows an existing Mexican company as it confronts the impact of corruption on its activity. We provide an overview of economic development in Mexico, the macroeconomic and socio-political environment, and the monetary costs of violence and corruption on business. The information serves as a backdrop to discuss alternative strategies and skills that managers and businesses owners need to develop to tackle problems akin to countries vulnerable to corruption.
