Summary: This article analyzes The emerging woman, an independent film by HelenaSolberg, made in the United States, in 1974. This short film, which deals with about 200 years of the history of the feminist movement, shows the struggle of black and working women. Along this path, I highlight the approximations and distances between Brazil and the United States, and the intersectional approach of race and class in the film's feminist discourse.

La película de mediana duración, que trata sobre unos 200 años de la historia del movimiento feminista en ese país, destaca la lucha de las mujeres negras y trabajadores A lo largo de este camino, destacamos las aproximaciones y distancias entre Brasil y Estados Unidos, y el enfoque intersectorial pionero de raza y clase en el discurso feminista de esta película.Cet article vise à analyser The emerging woman, un film indépendantd’Helena Solberg, réalisé aux États-Unis, en 1974. Le film de moyenne durée, qui retrace environ 200 ans d’histoire du mouvement féministe dans ce pays, met en lumière la lutte des femmes noires et les travailleurs. Tout au long de ce chemin, nous mettons en évidence les approximations et les distances entre le Brésil et les États-Unis, et l’approche intersectionnelle pionnière de la race et de la classe dans le discours féministe du film.Este artigo se propõe a analisar The emerging woman, filme independentede Helena Solberg, realizado nos Estados Unidos, em 1974. O média metragem, que trata de cerca de 200 anos da história do movimento feminista nesse país, destaca a luta de mulheres negras e trabalhadoras.
