Health-promoting interventions for women in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle during the Covid-19 pandemic: scope review protocol

Introduction: Promoting the health of pregnant women, parturient and postpartum women is relevant for the improvement of health care and of great impact in the Covid-19 pandemic period, in which women in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle need greater attention and assistance. Objective: To map the available evidence on health-promoting interventions, developed by health professionals in pregnant, parturient and postpartum women during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This is a scoping review protocol conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology for conducting scoping reviews, which aims to answer the research question: What are the health-promoting interventions developed by health professionals in pregnant, parturient and postpartum women during the Covid-19 pandemic. The search strategy aims to locate published and unpublished primary studies and opinion articles will be selected. The entire process of selection and screening of studies will be carried out by two independent reviewers to evaluate the selected articles according to the inclusion criteria defined for the review. Studies in Portuguese, English and Spanish will be included, regardless of the geographic location where they were carried out or published. Results: By carrying out this scope review, we will organize the data presented in the various studies according to the different types of health-promoting interventions performed on women in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle during the Covid-19 period. Conclusion: The scope review intends to map interventions carried out in women in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle, demonstrating the impact that they possibly caused in the complexity of their care.
