Resumo: Dance as a proposal to reinvent aging is the object of this study. Dance contemplates representation and learning - of choreographies, new cultures and an artistic practice that is able to rescue the feminine and implement new meanings, both in the participants and in those who act as spectators. The study arose after the defense of a doctoral thesis with elderly members of a House of Natural Therapies and Body Practices, located in the neighborhood of Curicica - Rio de Janeiro, where the author addressed the reinvention of aging through body and integrative practices, demonstrating to participants how they reinvented their daily lives through dance. The presentation of the results of the research provided the awareness of the CTNPC participants, who chose to know and be inserted in the traditions of oriental dances. Objectives: To present the different modalities of oriental dances, insert the elderly in the context of culture by making parts of clothing, through the craft group, composing choreographies and presentations with the participation of the group. Methodology: The project had the initiative of the Occupational Therapist, who is an integral member of the team of professionals at the institution (CTNPC), working with different PICs and who also participates in a group of oriental dances. The research included participant observation and a semi-structured interview. For data presentation, the Collective Subject Discourse method was adopted. The results showed that the group was mobilized to learn oriental dance techniques, make appropriate clothing for practical classes and extramural presentations, becoming motivated in new learning, with a sense of belonging, motivation and expectations of new daily lives.
