In this transformation journey, which is more than just technology, one of IMS Energy's main challenges has been to align IT and Business, in part due to ambiguity and misalignment of concepts, such as nodes, applications and services, making it impossible to create a coherent and complete catalog with all its IT systems. To overcome that problem, the current study introduces taxonomy fundamentals, proposes the construction of a metamodel and pursues its instantiation with an Enterprise Architecture tool.
