Resumo: The A.A. report two cases of thorotrast related hepatic malignancies, two cholangiocarcinomas, observed in an Internal Medicine ward at a hospital in Lisbon. A comment is made aboutthe effects of ionizing radiation on the human body, taking special attention to those causedby thorotrast. We comment on the long period of time between the thorotrast injection and thediagnosis of the tumour, as well as the fact thatthese are probably the last cases of thorotrast related tumours.
