Resumo: | A photocatalytic cycle based on the ion pair Co(sep)3+·I− (sep sepulchrate 1,3,6,8,10,13,16,19-octaazabicyclo[6.6.6] eicosane)), in which substrates easily oxidizable by iodine are oxidized by dioxygen, is described. A direct relation between the ion pair charge transfer band maximum and the one-electron redox potential of the corresponding anion was verified. Possible applications of these cycles, such as energy conversion, are discussed. |
