Laboral Satisfaction of Art Professionals in the Autonomous Region of Madeira

In the first part, we defined motivation and satisfaction, with some theories and explanatory models of work satisfaction. Inthe second part of the study, we intended to establish, through the paths followed in teaching and in the performing arts setor,if arts professionals can get job satisfaction, and the factors that are associated with it. Thus, we will consider the influenceof sociodemographic factors (gender, age, marital status, career performance, job experience, job title, level of educationcompleted, years of teaching, professional status and disciplinary group of teaching) in the arts professionals job satisfactionregarding to: supervision at work, working conditions, salary, responsibility, work itself, advancement, security, recognition andrelationship with colleagues. To analyze arts teachers and professionals in art job satisfaction we applied the Teacher JobSatisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ) (Lester, 1982), translated and adapted for this purpose. The study was conducted on 380participants: teachers of artistic expression, musicians and other performing artists to the performing arts and audiovisualmedia.
