Resumo: | In the first part, we defined motivation and satisfaction, with some theories and explanatory models of work satisfaction. Inthe second part of the study, we intended to establish, through the paths followed in teaching and in the performing arts setor,if arts professionals can get job satisfaction, and the factors that are associated with it. Thus, we will consider the influenceof sociodemographic factors (gender, age, marital status, career performance, job experience, job title, level of educationcompleted, years of teaching, professional status and disciplinary group of teaching) in the arts professionals job satisfactionregarding to: supervision at work, working conditions, salary, responsibility, work itself, advancement, security, recognition andrelationship with colleagues. To analyze arts teachers and professionals in art job satisfaction we applied the Teacher JobSatisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ) (Lester, 1982), translated and adapted for this purpose. The study was conducted on 380participants: teachers of artistic expression, musicians and other performing artists to the performing arts and audiovisualmedia. |

Na segunda parte do trabalho pretendeu-se apurar se através dos caminhos percorridos no processo deensino e no setor das artes do espetáculo, os profissionais envolvidos nesta área conseguem retirar satisfação laboral, bemcomo os fatores que a ela se associam. Assim, propomo-nos analisar a influência dos fatores sociodemográficos (género,idade, estado civil, antiguidade/desempenho na carreira, experiência e permanência no posto/cargo de trabalho, nível deestudos finalizados, anos de docência, situação profissional e grupo disciplinar) na satisfação dos profissionais inquiridosrelativamente a: supervisão no trabalho, condições de trabalho, salário, responsabilidade, trabalho próprio, progresso,segurança, reconhecimento e relação com os colegas. Para analisar as áreas de insatisfação docente dos profissionais emarte, aplicou-se o Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ) (Lester, 1982), traduzido e adaptado para o efeito.
