Resumo: | The arrival of refugees demands of the society the forms of reception and integration, but it is perceived that the State is not yet ready to welcome them, causing civil society to meet some demands. We must start by identifying the difficulties faced by them in order to be able to intervene. Considering this context, based on a qualitative study, this article focuses on the analysis of a participatory diagnosis with refugees, carried out by the Migrations and Human Rights Institute, in Brasília, in 2014. It is noticed that most of the needs of the Refugees and asylum-seekers are precisely those related to the procedures for requesting refuge because they are very time-consuming. It was possible to conclude that knowing the demands of the refugees is essential to propose future orientations aimed at the real needs of these subjects, especially those focused on access to health, education, work and also for some specificities depending on the gender of the subjects. |

It was possible to conclude that knowing the demands of the refugees is essential to propose future orientations aimed at the real needs of these subjects, especially those focused on access to health, education, work and also for some specificities depending on the gender of the subjects.A chegada de refugiados exige da sociedade formas de acolhimento e integração, porém percebe-se que o Estado ainda não está preparado para acolhê-los, fazendo com que a sociedade civil tenha que suprir algumas demandas. Deve-se partir pela identificação das dificuldades enfrentadas pelos mesmos para assim conseguir intervir. Considerando tal contexto, a partir de um estudo de natureza qualitativa, esse artigo centra-se na análise de um diagnóstico participativo com refugiados, realizado pelo Instituto Migrações e Direitos Humanos, em Brasília, em 2014. Percebe-se que a maioria das necessidades dos refugiados e solicitantes de refúgio são justamente aquelas relacionadas aos processos de solicitação de refúgio, por serem muito morosos.
