Resumo: The general radiography is an important method of diagnosis of the human body image. When this method is applied to disabled people, particularly users of wheelchair, can arise the inconvenience of it (apart from radiographer and patient companions) be exposed to for as long radiation because of the difficulty of his position in relation to X-ray beam. Thus aimed to solve this problem by proposing a chair design, which enables the patient to achievement in sitting examinations position that the principle should be performed in the standing position. To develop the project, the methodological steps were conducted documentary research, problem determination, lifting equipment used in radiology, elaboration of requirements for the new equipment and choice of materials for application in the project, in compliance with the requirements. The result is the design of a chair that uses stainless steel in its structure and carbon fiber components. Will feature support for accommodation of antidifusora grid and chassis X-ray, extensive support for your legs and reclining backrest with tilt angle adjustment locks, thus allowing the performance of tests in different positions. Its use can facilitate the examination, making it more practical and functional, ensuring the independence, satisfaction and physical protection of the patient and also ensuring the physical protection of employees in the industry and patient escorts.
