Resumo: The following dissertation, contextualized by the contemporary architectural condition and by the personal experience in São Paulo, in Isay Weinfeld office, intends to study the architecture as a symbol and instrument of communication, emphasizing Art as an experimental and investigative field in architectural practice. The study is supported by an orderly narrative, through four informative moments - Architecture as Art; Three Speeches; Spaces of Consumption as Experimentation; Other Speeches. It is based on research and critical reading of the texts mentioned above and in four case studies - Forum SP; Livraria da Vila; D-Edge Club; Galeria Melissa - which expose and question the project options and the character of two authors - Isay Weinfeld and Muti Randolph - relating them to the projects being analyzed and to the physical experience of each space.
