We will propose an anthology overview of several (post)migrant novels to highlight the recurrence of the topos of literary culture as a spring of assimilation to the host country and desire for empowerment, especially for the status of women. It will turn out that the dynamic of assimilation often remains the unthought of literary criticism, more tempted by the dominant doxa of the insurmountable cultural and differential hiatus, or of the ideological and exotic othering potential.
