In this dissertation is presented the capability to create a stimulating atmosphere, throughsensorial stimuli based on architecture, that give Man an intense experience.In the relationship between Man and space, it is considered the opportunity to design anatmosphere, that could bring together not only the basic functions of a space, but the possibility ofoffering a sensory component. This question is supported by the study and characterization of the sensesof Man, as an important element for the perception of a stimulating atmosphere. These aspects aremainly based on the theoretical context of certain architects.In order to design a stimulating atmosphere, it is researched what characteristics and elementsshould constitute an architectural work with which Man can relate, believing that this way there is agreater benefit for the experience, comfort and well-being of Man.The site of the project was chosen due to a personal and an emotional experience. In this case,the coastal area of Maceda, in the district of Aveiro, Portugal, reflects the memories and the will tomaterialize a space with a stimulating atmosphere, that relates Man with nature, through architecture.
