Resumo: The present study has the objective to provide a vision about how energy transition, in the topic of fuels, will impact the Oil & Gas market in the SWE cluster. In addition, it is intended to evaluate Air Liquide’s (AL) performance in this sector and provide a vision of how it can grow in the R&A market (Research & Analysis). This market study provided a knowledge of the available projects in the Horizon 2020 and LIFE programmes and, with a respective analysis, a new lead of potential customers. By analysing 994 projects, it was possible to classify them and get 324 gas potential users and 83 of them that focus on the sector of fuels analysis. For France, it was discovered that 57% of the companies aren't AL customers, 70% for Spain, 82% for Portugal and 66% for Italy. The Oil & Gas market is divided into submarkets, R&A04C, M&P02, and M&P03. Furthermore, to facilitate the forecast, they were divided into sectors of study: refinery, natural gas, biomethane and crackers. A forecast was done for study sectors based on the BP and International Energy Agency (IEA) Outlooks. The timeline defined was until 2040. The results to the refinery sector were of growth of 0,2%, and for natural of 1% until 2040, these sectors from the outside are in crisis due to restrictions. Still, this market is compensated by increasing analysis demand due to environmental control and for a new upcoming energy source, biomethane, that has predicted growth of 15%. Therefore, the results are positive, with an average growth of 1,5% within the SWE territory. Globally, Air Liquide has a reasonable penetration rate and market share. However, it is highlighted the French and Portuguese markets. France is the bigger market of the cluster, and Portugal has a less competitive nature and more exclusive consumers face to the other countries. Finally, a competition analysis was performed to look at the Air Liquide’s position inside the market. The main conclusion is that the company lacks accreditation for Oil & Gas products, having a fragile stand on the market compared to the main competitors.
