Resumo: | This work is motivated by the development of a project for a refuge, an opportunity coincident with the fnal steps of the academic learning and the start of the period of professional practice. The frst visits to the village of Bom Sucesso and the encounter with the only existing structure in the site - a yellow blind facade reminiscent of the family house that existed there - trigger a dilemma: what to think of this wall. This dissertation is, therefore, the critical construction that concerns the decision-making between the maintenance and the demolition of this element, constituting this work as an in-depth narrative of this experience. The Yellow Wall thus assumes the role of both project and discourse catalyst - a paradigmatic structure that generates a universe of associations and meanings, enabling and triggering refections on the various themes, realities and images that are unavoidable for the thought and elaboration of (the) project(s). Motivated by the various meanings that the Yellow Wall condenses and transcends, and by the recognition of intelligibility in the apparently ugly and ordinary things found in the place, our line of action approaches the bricoleur discourse: an inquiring posture is therefore taken, one that moves, looks and interacts with the real, investigates and seeks validation in it for the ongoing project. In this way, broader refections on the issues of territory, heritage, typology, contemporary dwelling, among others, are also propitiated. On the whole, this set of anxieties, stimulated by the succession of events identifed in the specifc landscape - the encounter between the self and the existing physical phenomena, which (in)forms the thinking gaze - punctuate and compose the mental panorama of this project, estabilishing its imaginary, a landscape of events. |
