Resumo: In the Royal Library of the Monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial, in Madrid, is kept a sixteenthcentury manuscript which includes a neo‐Latin poem entitled Ode in Gallos containing an explicit attribution to André de Resende. From some texts by André de Resende, we can draw the conclusion that the humanist author from Évora was in Spain in 1526. The historical circumstances described in the poem point to a similar date. These facts, combined with the probity of the compiler of the manuscript, who has personally been responsible for the copy, seem to make the attribution of the poem to André de Resende plausible.

De algunos textos de André de Resende se desprende que el humanista eborense estuvo en España en 1526.Las circunstancias históricas descritas en el poema sugieren idéntica fecha. Estos hechos y el rigor del compilador del manuscrito, que lo copió personalmente, hacen verosímil la atribución del poema a André de Resende.Il existe, à la Bibliothèque Royale du Monastère de San Lourenzo del Escorial, à Madrid, un manuscrit du XVIe siècle qui contient un poème néo‐latin attribué à André de Resende, ayant pour titre Ode in Gallos. Nous pouvons conclure, d’après certains textes d’André de Resende, que l’humaniste d’Évora se trouvait en Espagne en 1526. Les circonstances historiques décrites dans le poème signalent cette date. Ces faits et le sérieux du compilateur du manuscrit, qui l’a copié personnellement, semblent rendre plausible l’attribution du poème à André de Resende.Na Real Biblioteca do Mosteiro de São Lourenço do Escorial, em Madrid, encontra‐se um manuscrito do séc. XVI, em que figura um poema novilatino ali atribuído a André de Resende, com o título Ode in Gallos. De alguns textos de André de Resende, podemos concluir que o humanista eborense em 1526 esteve em Espanha. As circunstâncias históricas descritas no poema apontam para idêntica data.
