Os propósitos da investigação passaram por perceber qual é a importância da definição de objetivos na aprendizagem do violino, entender o que professores e alunos objetivam sobre a música e sobre o ensino da música e assim compreender de que forma essas perspetivas influenciam a situação de ensino-aprendizagem. A intervenção pedagógica procurou estimular a autorregulação e a autonomia dos alunos com a adoção de uma postura consciente, ativa e de delineação e compreensão de objetivos a todos os níveis. A revisão de literatura visou dar resposta às questões essenciais na definição de objetivos na aprendizagem instrumental: quem define? O que define? Como define? E porque define? Ao nível curricular, o ponto de partida foi a legislação portuguesa do ensino artístico e as investigações sobre o desenvolvimento curricular em autores como Zabalza, Roldão e Bloom. Já no âmbito motivacional dos objetivos, a base teórica residiu nas teorias de definição de objetivos, de metas de realização e na teoria da aprendizagem autorregulada de especialistas como Zimmerman, McPherson,Elliot, Rosário e Veiga Simão. Estudaramse ainda as funções sociais da Música nas obras sociológicas e antropológicas de Abeles, Hoffer, Klotman e Alan Merriam. A intervenção incidiu na componente diagnóstica da autorregulação da aprendizagem e dos objetivos da música e do ensino da música. Para tal foram aplicados inquéritos, um sobre a autorregulação da aprendizagem e outro sobre objetivos e funções da música, aos alunos do 5º ao 12º ano e por fim, um inquérito sobre objetivos e funções da música aos docentes de instrumento da zona do Minho. Os resultados demonstraram a necessidade do desenvolvimento das competências da autonomia e da autorregulação da aprendizagem para uma educação que se pretende globalizante e formadora de cidadãos aptos para a vida fora do ecossistema académico. Ficou claro que os professores valorizam predominantemente as funções expressiva e comunicativa da música, no entanto existe uma demarcada fronteira entre ensino da música e ensino do instrumento, e uma disparidade entre as funções valorizadas e os objetivos delineados na sua prática letiva. Acredita-se que tais perspetivas condicionam o desenvolvimento da autonomia e da autorregulação da aprendizagem pelo que se considera fundamental a definição de objetivos, mas sempre enquadrada com os objetivos fundamentais da Música, numa visão abrangente e não centrada na performance musical per se.This internship report reflects the results of an action research that took place in Conservatório Calouste Gulbenkian de Braga during the school year of 2018-2019 and that focused on the theme of the importance of definition of objectives and of their curricular and motivational dimensions. The purpose of the research is to understand the importance of goal setting in violin learning, to comprehend what teachers and students aim at on music and on the teaching of music, and to understand how these perspectives influence the teaching and learning environment. The pedagogical intervention was focused on the self-regulation and autonomy of students with the adoption of a conscious, active posture in classes and with the delineation and understanding of objectives, at all levels. The literature review aimed to answer the essential questions about objectives in instrumental learning: who defines it? What does it define? How does it define it? And why is it defined? At the curricular level, the starting point was the Portuguese legislation on artistic education and the academic research on curriculum development in authors such as Zabalza, Roldão and Bloom. Already in the motivational scope of the objectives, the theoretical foundation was based on theories of goal setting, achievement goals and the self-regulated learning theory of experts such as Zimmerman, McPherson, Elliot, Rosário and Veiga Simão. The social functions of Music were also studied in the sociological and anthropological works of Abeles, Hoffer, Klotman and Alan Merriam. The action of the intervention focused on the diagnostic component of selfregulation of learning and on the goals of music and music teaching. To this end, surveys were applied, one on self-regulation of learning and another on objectives and functions of music, for students between 10 and 18 years old and finally a survey on the objectives and functions of music for instrument teachers in the Minho region. The results demonstrated the need to develop the competences of autonomy and self-regulation of learning for an education that is intended to be globalizing and training citizens who are fit for life outside the academic ecosystem. It was clear that teachers predominantly value the expressive and communicative functions of music, however there is a clearly defined boundary between music teaching and instrument teaching, and a disparity between the valued functions and the goals outlined in their teaching practices. It is believed that such perspectives condition the development of autonomy and self-regulation of learning.
