Será dividido em três capítulos: Descrição do contexto socioeducativo, apresentação do estagiário e reflexão sobre a experiência, e desenvolvimento do tema “Abordagens Intercultural e Transcultural no Ensino e Aprendizagem de Língua Estrangeira”.A relação da língua estrangeira com a realidade dos países onde é falada é um fator essencial no ensino e aprendizagem de língua estrangeira. A ferramenta que tem sido usada nos últimos anos para estabelecer essa relação é a noção de competência intercultural, tal como está presente no Quadro Europeu Comum de Referência para Línguas (QECRL), nos documentos reguladores do sistema de ensino português e como é definida na obra de Byram et al (2002) e por Byram (2008b). O objetivo desta abordagem é garantir que os/as alunos/as desenvolvam a chamada competência comunicativa intercultural, consciencializando-os dos pressupostos da sua própria cultura, tal como da cultura da língua estrangeira, e preparando-se para interagir com indivíduos de outros contextos culturais. Uma abordagem que está ausente no QECRL e nos documentos reguladores do sistema de ensino português é a abordagem transcultural. Esta abordagem caracteriza as culturas como espaços de hibridez cultural e explora as potencialidades da aula de língua estrangeira como third space – um espaço de encontro e negociação cultural de significados (Welsch 1999, Freitag 2010).As abordagens intercultural e transcultural têm um papel central no terceiro capítulo do relatório, onde são apresentadas as noções de cultura associadas ao ensino de línguas estrangeiras, que depois serão relacionadas com as experiências realizadas em contexto de estágio curricular. É importante perceber o que cada uma destas abordagens pode trazer de útil para as aulas de língua estrangeira e para a formação dos/as estudantes, de que forma podem ser aplicadas em contexto educativo, tendo em conta também os diferentes níveis linguísticos dos/as estudantes.This report will describe the curricular internship experience in the areas of English and German. It will be divided in three chapters: description of the social-educational context, the teacher trainee introduces himself and reflects on his experience, and the development of the topic “Intercultural and Transcultural Approaches in Foreign Language Teaching and Learning”.The relation between the foreign language and the reality of the countries where it is spoken is an essential factor in foreign language teaching and learning. A tool that has been used in the past few years to establish this relation is the notion of intercultural competence, as we can see in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), in the documents underlying the Portuguese educational system and as it is defined in the works of Byram et al. (2002) and Byram (2008b). The objective of this approach is to ensure that the students develop the so called intercultural communicative competence, by making them aware of the presumptions of their own culture and the foreign culture, and preparing them to interact with individuals of other cultural contexts. An approach which is not present in the CEFR and in the documents underlying the Portuguese educational system is the transcultural approach. This approach characterizes cultures as culturally hybrid spaces and explores the capabilities of the foreign language class as a third space – a space where meanings can be culturally handled (Welsch 1999, Freitag 2010).The intercultural and transcultural approaches have a central role in the third chapter of this report, where several notions of cultural associated to foreign language teaching are presented. These will be later related to the curricular experiences carried out during the internship.
