The reason behind this dissertation relies on the decision to work on a project proposal that meets a real necessity. The lease of the Equestrian Centre of Porto Santo, by the Development Society of Porto Santo, presents itself as the opportunity to do so since it entails the need to cater for the programm specified by the entity itself. The required program includes a project for a new Eco Hotel, alongside the needed attention to the existing Equestrian Centre. By starting with an analysis of the territory we get a better understanding of its context and characteristics, to then study the specific needs of each equipment. The goal is to understand how the distinct programs can find their place on the site whilst existing harmoniously, and, simultaneously, report the exploration process that leads to the final form with the use of different experimenting means.
